The February 2024 edition of ASQA IQ – Integrity and Quality in Focus explores the support and progression stage of the student journey.

ASQA has experienced a consistently high volume of registration renewal and change of scope applications, which we are anticipating will continue into early 2024. 

ASQA has approved an extended transition period for CHC33015 - Certificate III in Individual Support.

ASQA’s online registration portal asqanet, and community space asqaconnect – will be unavailable from 6:00 pm AEDT Wednesday 13 December 2023 for regular system maintenance.

ASQA has updated its application forms and supporting evidence requirements for new entrants to the vocational education and training market.

We are aware of issues with both the asqanet portal and asqaconnect in which users are receiving an error when trying to complete and submit forms. We are currently investigating the cause of this error, and will confirm once the issues have been resolved.

ASQA has approved an extended transition period for HLT40113 Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.

ASQA has approved an extended transition period for MEM20413 Certificate II in Engineering Pathways, MEM30319 Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade, MEM30405 Certificate III in Engineering – Electrical/Electronic Trade, MEM30505 Certificate III in Engineering – Technical, MEM40412 Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting, MEM50212 Diploma of Engineering – Technical, MEM50311 Diploma of Jewellery and Object Design, MEM60112 Advanced Diploma of Engineering and MEM60211 Advanced Diploma of Jewellery and Object Design.

The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) has tabled its Annual Report 2022–23 in the Australian Parliament, outlining our activities and performance for 2022–23.

Delivery to international students, continues to be a regulatory priority for ASQA and a focus across government.

ASQA is concerned about some practices by registered training organisations (RTOs) delivering training and assessment for CPP41419: Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice, CPP51122: Diploma of Property (Agency Management) and CPP40521: Certificate IV in Strata Community Management.
