Cancel a course

If your course is not being delivered you may wish to cancel your accreditation.

Cancelled courses appear as ‘non-current’ on the national register.

You must not advertise your course once it is cancelled.

Cancellation request process

We consider stakeholder feedback in our decision and may contact:

• RTOs with your course on their scope of registration
• VET regulators in Victoria and Western Australia
• industry regulators and licensing bodies

Fees

There are no fees for cancelling an accredited course.

Allow up to 60 business days for your cancellation request to be processed.

We will let you know of our decision in writing.

Courses cancelled by ASQA

In exceptional circumstances, ASQA may need to cancel an accredited course.

You will be contacted if ASQA is required to cancel your course.

Appealing ASQA’s decision

To appeal ASQA’s decision about cancelling your course you can request a review.

Decisions can be reviewed under Section 199 of the National VET Regulator Act 2011.
