Regulation reporting
ASQA’s Regulation Report is a quarterly publication which outlines our latest activities, actions and responses to key risks and emerging issues in Australia’s vocational education and training (VET) sector.
As the national regulator, we are committed to addressing quality and integrity issues in the sector. The Regulation Report is a key publication through which we inform stakeholders and the public about the work we have been undertaking, as well as our performance in achieving set targets.

Quarters 1-3 (July 2025 – March 2026) highlights
- Received 4,026 provider registration applications (i.e. initial registration, renewal of registration, change of scope and withdrawal of registration)
- Processed 4,322 provider registration applications (which includes applications that were received but not finalised in the previous financial year)
- Accredited 24 new VET courses
- Completed 116 performance assessments (of which 45 (39%) resulted in a finding of non-compliance)
- Finalised 5 Agreements to Rectify, of which 2 providers returned to compliance
- Undertook the following compliance and enforcement actions:
- issued 16 warning letters
- issued 14 written directions
- imposed 43 conditions on registration
- imposed 23 sanctions to suspend registration
- imposed 1 sanction to vary the period of registration
- issued 80 sanctions to cancel registration in full or not renew registration
- Made decisions to cancel more than 17,800 qualifications and statements of attainment issued by critically non-compliant providers
- Received 3,708 VET tip-offs from stakeholders
- Received 20,494 phone calls, 4,808 emails and 3,594 student record enquiries
- Met 6 of our 8 (75%) of our Service Standards.
